Some GPS loggers can be used with myTracks without the need to install any driver. Others require an installed USB driver. The following sections explain these drivers and list the corresponding GPS loggers.
Holux Gpsport 245 Usb Driver
Note: There may exist different variants of the same logger that need different drivers. Therefore, you may need to try which driver works with your device. It is no problem to install all drivers as they are not loaded if not needed.

USB CDC is a standard protocol for USB communication devices. In old macOS versions a driver supporting various GPS loggers has been integrated. However, it was removed in a later version. Apple released that driver as Open Source and therefore I recompiled it for newer macOS versions. The driver is not needed (and will not work) with macOS 11 or newer.
The m-241 came in two models. The yellow one, popular with photographers, internally used the Silicon Labs CP210X chipset to transform the internal and inaccessible serial port to the USB port that was familiar on the side. The drivers for that port can be found with SiLabs CP210x serial port drivers. The red and white one existed very briefly before Holux went out of business. GPSBabel does not work with the red and white one.

Once you have downloaded your new driver, you'll need to install it. In Windows, use a built-in utility called Device Manager, which allows you to see all of the devices recognized by your system, and the drivers associated with them.

El Holux M-241 ademas de permitirnos registrar los datos también nos permite usarlo como GPS convencional ya sea conectándolo mediante cable o bluetooth a un ordenador/móvil con su software y cartográfica correspondiente. Como alimentación cuenta con un compartimiento para una pila de tipo AA con una autonomía de unas 10 horas, de forma que si vamos hacer un viaje muy largo, simplemente deberemos de sustituir la pila por otra que podremos llevar encima o comprar en cualquier sitio. No cuenta con la posibilidad de cargar la pila si usásemos una recargable, aunque si que nos permite usar el dispositivo sin pila conectándolo por USB. También se incluye junto con el GPS un cargador para coche con una entrada de 12-24 voltios y una salida de 5v y 850mAh, una pila, una correa para el cuello, el cable miniUSB, los drivers y el software de la casa con su correspondiente serial.
Si tu datalogger está guardando correctamente los recorridos en la memoria interna, y así lo refleja disminuyendo la memoria total cada vez que grabas algo nuevo. Entonces deberías de poder recuperar los datos desde el PC, asegúrate de haber instalado los drivers correctamente y también el software oficial para que se comunique con el aparato y pueda acceder a su memoria interna.
The box was surprisingly heavy. Also provided is a CD with PC drivers, a manual in Acrobat format and a PC utility for viewing the GPS signal.
