Nx 85 Crack License File: The Best Way to Learn NX without Paying a Dime

Discussion: This error indicates that the FLEXlm routines in the application are unable to make a TCP connection to the server and port specified in the license file. Possible causes/solutions for this behavior are listed below 1.) PROBLEM: The wrong license file is being referenced by IDL. SOLUTION: Verify that the application is using the proper license file. Check the paths and spelling of the licenses listed in the "license path" indicated in the error message. 2.) PROBLEM: The server machine specified in the license file is down; SOLUTION: Verify that specified server machine is up and reachable by executing another command that uses TCP, such as ping, from the client to the server. For example, if the IP address of the license server machine "myserver" is 123.456.789.0, open a DOS command prompt on the IDL client machine and issue the command: ping 123.456.789.0 or ping myserver TCP must be available on both the client and the server machines in order to use a floating license. If network problems are suspected, contact your system administrator for assistance. 3.) PROBLEM: The license manager service is running but the IDL vendor daemon specified in the DAEMON line of the license file (IDL_LMGRD.exe) is not running; SOLUTION: Check the license manager debug log file and run the lmstat command to try to determine if the vendor daemon is down and to get clues about how to resolve the problem=: a.) Verify that the vendor daemon is running. Check the license manager debug log file that was specified when configuring the license manager. b.) Examine the license manager debug log file to see if any problems are reported, particularly messages indicating that the vendor daemon has quit. c.) Run lmstat -a from the server machine to verify that the vendor daemon is alive. For example, if your IDL 6.4 installation is located at C:\Program Files\ITT\ IDL64 and license manager was started using a license file with the following SERVER line:

Where 1700 is the number at the end of the SERVER line of the license file and "myserver" is the name of the license server machine as it appears in the license file. 4.) PROBLEM: The host name in the license file is not recognized by the system; SOLUTION: If the license manager or the vendor daemon (idl_lmgrd) is down, make the necessary corrections to the license manager setup on the license server machine and then start or restart the FLEXlm license manager service on that server machine. (Note that the FLEXlm license manager service for an ITT license should only be started (only one instance), on the designated license server machine that is listed in the SERVER line of the license file.) Information about configuring, starting and stopping the FLEXlm license manager on Windows 2000 or XP can be found in the "License Management Guide" (license.pdf) in the IDL Online Manuals of your installation or on your product CD. 5.) PROBLEM: The network between the client machine and the server machine is down. SOLUTION: Run lmstat -a (see item (3c) above) from the client machine to verify the connection from client to vendor daemon across the network. Also run lmdiag to get additional clues about a network related problems and how to resolve them in the context of this problem. For example:

6.) PROBLEM: TCP is not running on your machine. SOLUTION: From the client machine, try using telnet host port where host and port are the same as on the SERVER line in your license file. Using the example license and installation example above, open a DOS command prompt issue the following command:

If a connection is established, the DOS prompt will not be returned since a TCP connection has been established with the license manager service. However, if a connection is not established this may indicate that the license manager is not running properly or that there is a network communication problem between the client and the server machine. (Close the DOS window to end a telnet connection to the license manager.) SOLUTION: If there is no firewall up open the 'license.dat' file, in a plain text editor, and change the hostname to the IP address of the computer. For example, if the SERVER line in the license data file reads:

Try un-installing both NX and its License Server module. Use a good application removal tool to clear out any registries from the faulty install and then start by installing the license server followed by NX. It should work.

The following post provides a detailed explanation of acquiring a license file directly from the Siemens PLM GTAC for new and existing NX customers. Note: You will need a valid Webkey from Siemens PLM that is delivered after your account has been processed. Starting with NX4, released in 2005, NX uses an updated version of FlexLM from FlexeraSoftware to manage its licenses. Most customers purchase floating licenses but even with node-locked licenses a license server must be installed. Siemens PLM will issue a temporary 7-day license for you to use until you settle on what machine you want to install as a license server.

Check the Contact Name and E-mail Address to make sure it is the name and address of the contact or CAD administrator of the customer and not a contractor or outside service company. Check the creation date. Check that it is an NX9 license file. Note whether or not the server hostname has been included. If not, make sure that an explanation of changing it to the correct hostname is clearly communicated to the customer. The hostname (computer name) of the server MUST be included in the SERVER line of the license file in order for the license to work properly.

These include the MacBook Pro, iMac and Mac Pro systems. All available graphics subsystems are supported. The minimum version of Mac OS X required to run NX 10 is version 10.8.5. Later versions of Mac OS X are also supported, but there may be caveats. Installation of NX on Mac OS X is supported only on an HFS+ file system. However, NX part files and other data files may be stored and retrieved from an NFS file system.

You must first double-click it to uncompress it and create the.mpkg file. Optionally, install the online documentation by double-clicking the ugdoc.10.pkg file and following the instructions. Optionally, install the license server by double-clicking the ugslicensing.pkg file and following the instructions. The license server will be needed if you are installing NX on a system, such as a laptop, that is not connected to a network. I've just started using NX 10.0.1 with my Macbook 12' (from MBP 15') which is even lower power/performance that higher end Macbook Airs and it works great.

This really should be on the splash screen for the Academic license version: Pretty much, no. I'm certain that they want to prevent organizations outsourcing work to schools and Univerisities as a way to get the benefits of their products without paying for their products.

I was hoping to load the company laptop with all the robot files from last year and kit of parts files for training demos, how to and such. It's so much more productive to teach them when using the same models they are working on, and you can't demonstrate editing/creating parts from a step file.

You could try printing to JPG instead of PDF as an option. PDF is not very efficient with images unless configured for it. There is also a Save As option in Adobe Acrobat to create a reduced size file. As far as I know, it is only available in Acrobat Pro, not the Reader.

The worst branding Adobe ever did was to use the name Acrobat in relation to the read-only version of software and confuse it with Acrobat Standard, but maybe they were pushing to sell Pro licenses, though I'll bet a lot of people skipped both and went NitroPDF or CutePDF or any of the many other PDF manipulation programs.

Another thing that occurs to me is if the resolution is high. Help suggests available resolution are from 100dpi to 600dpi with 300dpi as the nominal. Dropping from 300 to 200 should decrease the file size by about 50%; if it is 600dpi then that will drop by a factor of 36:4 or a factor of 9.

There's also a mention of PDF/A format. This format is the 'archive' format and is all plain text and can be much larger that the usual compressed format for the PDF file. Unless you expect the PDF to be opened 20 years from now, skip the PDF/A format.

The number of characters in the license file paths exceeds the permissible limit. There is a limit on the number of license files that can be used by a license server manager. This limit is on the number of characters in the combined license file paths to the license files: 2ff7e9595c
